Splitting the two head-to-head matchups they had during the regular season, the Bears ultimately got the last laugh when they won when it mattered the most, in the playoffs. Head coach Ben Johnson said after the game about the win, “This one meant something to us.”
“There was probably a little bit more noise coming out of their building up north to start the week, which we heard loud and clear, players and coaches alike,” Bears head coach Ben Johnson said to NFL.com’s Michael Baca. “This one meant something to us.”
The Bears completed the largest playoff comeback in franchise history with their win (18 points) and will advance to their first Divisional Round game for the first time since 2010, where they beat the Seattle Seahawks 35-24.

Before getting emotional at the podium, Johnson made sure to show how excited he was living up to his promise to beat Matt LeFleur and the Packers twice a year, quickly shaking his hand and immediately running to embrace his players.

The Chicago Bears will need to be on their game for the Divisional Round when they play either the Eagles or the Rams

Despite their fourth-quarter magic, the Bears will need to try to win the game against either the Eagles or the 49ers in the first three quarters. The Bears won their game against the Eagles in the regular season, going to Philadelphia in Week 13 and winning 24-15, while they didn’t play the Rams this season.
The Bears will face either leading MVP candidate quarterback Matthew Stafford (4,707 yards and 46 touchdowns) or one of the best defenses in the Eagles (13th, 314.2 yards), which could cause problems if they can’t game-plan well enough to counter the strengths of either team. With the Eagles and 49ers set to play Sunday at 4:25, the Bears will know soon who their next opponent will be.
