The team has a strong draft capital to use to improve the team, but there are still some questions with how the 53-man roster looks in Week 1. Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report wrote an article discussing the biggest question for each team<\/a> ahead of the NFL Draft. For Chicago, the biggest question involves finding edge rushers to pair with Montez Sweat. Below is what Gagnon wrote regarding Chicago’s biggest question right now:<\/p>\n

“Dayo Odeyingbo was a disappointment even before tearing his Achilles midway through the 2025 season, and the Bears are now left with a big question mark opposite Montez Sweat at one of the most critical positions in the sport. They were apparently in on [Maxx] Crosby last month<\/a> but are still left searching here in April. They could use the No. 25 pick on a pass-rusher, but a veteran like Joey Bosa or A.J. Epenesa makes sense too.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

According to Pro Football Focus, quarterback pressures<\/a> show that Chicago needs help in that spot. The Bears finished 31st in the NFL with 214 quarterback pressures. It is important to note that multiple players can be credited with pressures on a single play, so they need to find ways to get closer to at least average. Only the Carolina Panthers (203) had fewer in the 2025 season.<\/p>\n

Chicago is a loaded team in terms of talent and has playoff experience now. They need to find someone who can help come off the edge and get to the quarterback.
