Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley wrote an article where he described each NBA team with one word<\/a>. For the Bulls, Buckley used the word ‘tardy’, explaining it is due to pivoting to rebuilding towards the middle of the season. Below is what he wrote regarding Chicago:<\/p>\n

“After logging an inordinate, unforgivable amount of mileage on the dreaded treadmill of mediocrity, the Bulls finally bolted off of it at the deadline and made “a meaningful shift”\u00a0toward long-term rebuilding, as executive vice president of basketball operations Arturas Karni\u0161ovas told reporters.<\/p>\n

“It’s been a tank-tastic journey<\/a> ever since\u20145-14 since the All-Star break\u2014but in the eyes of the lottery odds, it could very well be remembered as too little, too late. This unpunctual plug-pulling left Chicago racing toward the bottom after giving all either future-focused franchises a monthslong headstart. This draft class might be rich with star-level prospects, but the Bulls<\/a> will need an awful lot of lottery luck to be in position to grab a blue-chipper.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

With Chicago getting more ping-pong balls in the lottery, the team is struggling to find wins late in the season.
