When the Chicago Bears<\/a> hired Ben Johnson<\/a> to be their head coach prior to the 2025 NFL season, he made no secret of his disdain for the Green Bay Packers<\/a> and his counterpart Matt LaFleur<\/a>. After spending multiple seasons with the Detroit Lions<\/a>, Johnson developed a deep dislike for all things Packers, including and especially their head coach.<\/p>\n

What is more, Johnson backed up his pre-season trash talk in the regular season and NFL Playoffs. Chicago split the season series with Green Bay 1-1 and then knocked them out of the playoffs in the Wild Card round.<\/p>\n

Throughout the year, it certainly seemed like the Bears took the rivalry more personally than the Packers, and that manifested itself on the field.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview with Tyler Dunne of\u00a0Go Long<\/em><\/a>, Packers safety Javon Bullard<\/a>, who lost to the Bears for the first time in his NFL career last year, could not help but express his hatred for nothing only the team, but also the city of Chicago and Coach Johnson:<\/p>\n

\u201cDamn, I hate Chicago!\u201d It\u2019s like\u00a0real<\/em> hate. I can\u2019t stand Chicago. I don\u2019t know what the hell it is. I don\u2019t like the team. I don\u2019t like their coach. I don\u2019t like sh– about Chicago. Except for their food. I do love their food. But other than that, man? Damn Chicago.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And on the prospect of facing the Bears again this upcoming season, Bullard said, \u201cWe\u2019re going to see them boys \u2014 multiple times. They\u2019re going to have to come with it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, the Bears\u00a0did\u00a0<\/em>come with it last season, beating Green Bay twice in the span of a month. Perhaps Bullard needs to worry about inspiring this same kind of fire in his own teammates. Maybe then Green Bay would actually show some fight.<\/p>\n
