The Chicago Bulls may have gotten a bit more than they were expecting with guard Jaden Ivey. While he is a talented player on the court, he has been more vocal about his beliefs on social media. There has been a rift between him and the organization and today seemingly was the last straw. Let’s take a closer look at what happened.<\/p>\n

Jaden Ivey is no longer with the Chicago Bulls following his recent comments<\/h2>\n

ESPN’s Shams Charania<\/a> is reporting that the Bulls are waiving guard Jaden Ivey following his recent anti-LGBTQ comments on social media. The comments in question were while he was live as Ivey called out the NBA for celebrating Pride Month. Below are the comments that got him in some hot water:<\/p>\n

“The world proclaims LGBTQ, right? They proclaim Pride Month-and the NBA does too. They show it to the world. They say, ‘Come join us for Pride Month, to celebrate unrighteousness.'”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What sparked Ivey’s comments is not known, but this is not the first rant about religion he has done since being traded from Detroit. He has taken taken to social media over the previous few weeks and preaching his beliefs. However, this may have caused some issues for Chicago’s front office.<\/p>\n

Bulls insider Joe Cowley is reported<\/a>that the Bulls are working on an exit strategy and to not be surprised if Ivey is no longer with the team soon. The former fifth pick in the 2022 NBA draft was traded to Chicago as part of the Kevin Heurter deal. He would play four games before being shut down for the year due to knee issues. It will be intriguing to see what this does for Ivey and the Bulls in the future.<\/p>\n

Ivey only played in four games with the Bulls as he averaged 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 0.5 blocks, and 2.0 steals in 28.8 minutes per game.
