After 12 years as an assistant coach in the NFL, the Bears finally gave Johnson his first head-coaching opportunity. The 39-year-old rewarded Chicago&#8217;s decision by leading the team to an 11-6 record, which was their best regular-season finish since 2018. The Bears also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagobears.com\/news\/nfc-north-champions-bears-clinch-division-title\">won the NFC North title<\/a> for the first time in seven years.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicitysports.com\/ben-johnson-news-chicago-bears-tom-brady-nfl\/\">Under Johnson&#8217;s guidance<\/a>, the Bears reached the Divisional Round in 2025. They defeated their bitter rivals, the Green Bay Packers, in the Wild Card Round to progress to the next stage of the NFL playoffs. Earlier this month, the Bears coach was spotted in a Chicago Bulls game hanging out with Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen. When he was shown on the Jumbotron, Johnson even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nba\/bulls\/onsi\/news\/bears-ben-johnson-hangs-with-scottie-pippen-chicago-bulls-game1\">pretended to take off his shirt<\/a>. This was an ode to Johnson&#8217;s viral moment during the NFL season, when he celebrated a win over the Packers shirtless.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson was out and about again on Sunday. This time around, the former North Carolina Tar Heels quarterback decided to catch some NHL action. The Blackhawks fell to 26-31-13 after Sunday&#8217;s defeat.
