During the 2nd period of the Detroit Red Wings’ Thursday night game with the Washington Capitals, Patrick Kane scored a game tying goal to get his 1,375th career point.
Patrick Kane is now the NHL all time points leader among American-born players

Kane has officially passed Mike Modano to become the official all time point leader by an American-born player in the history of NHL.

Number 88 is currently in his 19th season and is not slowing down one bit. In his 15 seasons in Chicago, Kane had the second most points in franchise history. And now, he has officially proved himself to be the greatest American-born hockey player of all time.
If only he was able to break this record in a Blackhawks jersey instead.
