The 2025-26 NBA season is set to tip off next week and when it does, NBC will be a prominent source once again for the league. The NBA on NBC is officially back this year and with that comes the return of Michael Jordan.
The NBA legend is set to be an analyst for the upcoming season, a shocking announcement that had fans excited for what’s to come. But since that announcement, the details have been limited.
Until now.
Sunday Night Football announcer Cris Collinsworth hinted at Jordan’s role during a recent media appearance.
Michael Jordan’s role on NBC partially revealed
During an appearance on FanDuel TV’s Up & Adams, Collinsworth teased Jordan’s role as a special contributor for the broadcast. And it sounds awesome.
“It will be a deep dive into the brain of Michael Jordan. Is that enough of a tease without giving away anything?… The things you would really want to know from Michael Jordan… It’s like details way inside the brain of the best basketball player that ever lived.”
