The Chicago Bears are one of the most intriguing teams heading into the 2026 NFL Draft. They currently possess the 25th pick in the draft and have some bigger needs. The team has little cap space to address them in free agency, so they can attack needs in the draft. Let’s take a look at one of the more reputable draft analysts’ mock drafts and see where he has the team going.
The Chicago Bears land Emmanuel McNeil-Warren in Todd McShay’s latest mock

The Ringer’s Todd McShay released his mock draft 3.0 recently and painted a picture of how things could go in the first round. McShay has Chicago selecting safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren with the 25th pick. Below is what he wrote regarding the pick:
“Defensive coordinator Dennis Allen is looking for versatile back-end players that can be multiple in his scheme and personnel pacages, and I think EMW would fit like a glove alongside newly acquired Coby Bryant.”
On a scale of 1-100, McShay gave McNeil-Warren a player grade of 89. Only one player (tight end Kenyon Sadiq) was graded higher than him in the first round of the mock draft. McNeil-Warren is one of the handful of players who keep popping up in mock drafts for Chicago.
McNeil-Warren had a strong 2025 season with Toledo as he recorded 77 total tackles (36 solo, 41 assisted) with 0.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), and six pass deflections. Pairing him with Bryant would make Chicago’s secondary significantly better in the long run. The secondary was one of the weakest parts of the Bears in 2025, so addressing this would certainly be a massive plus for the team.
It is going to be intriguing to see what the Bears decide to do with the 25th pick exactly one month from today.
