Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams never forgets where he came from. The former USC Trojans star is coming off a historic second pro-season under coach Ben Johnson.
He threw for a franchise-record 3,942 yards and 27 touchdowns while leading Chicago to an 11-6 record. The 24-year-old was instrumental in the Bears’ NFC North title finish and the franchise’s first postseason win since 2010.
Before becoming one of the NFL’s fastest-rising quarterbacks, Williams spent two seasons with the Trojans. The Washington native threw for 8,170 yards and 72 touchdown passes across 26 games. He recently returned to his alma mater and once again stole headlines.

Williams made an appearance at USC Pro Day on Thursday at Katherine B. Loker Track Stadium in Los Angeles. He was there to support 17 former Trojans auditioning for the 2026 NFL Draft.
But Williams did not just watch. He got into action, uncorking passes that turned heads across the field. His throws came out with ideal velocity, tight spiral and precise placement. He hit receivers in stride with the kind of zip that reminds you why the Bears took him No. 1 overall.
The NFL took notice. The league shared a clip on its official Instagram account.

Williams also spent time on the field with wide receivers Makai Lemon and Ja’Kobi Lane, both former USC teammates. He offered guidance to the pair, who are among the top prospects in the 2026 NFL Draft class.
Williams knows the path well. Not long ago, he stood in the same position, waiting to hear his name called. Now he ranks among the brightest young playmakers in the league.
The Bears enter 2026 with Super Bowl aspirations. How far they go will depend on how far Williams takes them.
