The Chicago Bears can fill a lot of holes with how they attack free agency, as they have some holes they need to address. While the team has cap space after trades and releases, they can be in the market for some veterans to improve the team. Let’s take a look at a free agent who is predicted to sign with the team and why it would make sense as a “buy low” candidate for general manager Ryan Poles.
The Chicago Bears are predicted to sign offensive lineman Cam Robinson in free agency

Heading into NFL free agency, there are a lot of predictions about which players will sign where. FOX Sports’ Greg Auman wrote an article discussing the top 100 free agents and a prediction of where they will wind up. The 92nd-rated free agent is Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Cam Robinson, whom he predicts will sign with the Bears. Below is what he wrote regarding that prediction:
“Robinson, 30, has played for four teams in the last two seasons, and was twice traded before finishing 2025 in Cleveland. He’s gone from franchise tags to a $12 million contract last year, and he’ll likely take less than that as he searches for some stability. He has 114 career starts , and that kind of experience makes him a known commodity, which is valuable at tackle. Could the Bears, with injury concerns for at least the start of 2026, be a good match?”
There is always a need to improve on the offensive line for the Bears, and Robinson is still a starting offensive lineman. While there are other offensive linemen in this free agency class who have better resumes, but in a situation like the Bears, this could be a good option. Robinson could be viewed as a plug-and-play offensive tackle after finishing 83rd out of 89 qualified offensive tackles with a 48.2 PFF grade.
As the team waits for Ozzy Trapilo to recover from his patellar tendon injury suffered in the NFC Wild Card Round, Robinson could be the starting left tackle in the meantime. If he plays well, he can keep the starting role or simply be a backup. It will be intriguing to see how Robinson’s free agency market looks and if Chicago is going to be in the mix.
