Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears took care of business at home against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. When all was said and done, the team defended home field with a 31-3 domination of Shedeur Sanders and company.
Not only did the Bears come through with a big win to improve to 10-4 on the season, they also saw the Green Bay Packers fall victim on the road against the Denver Broncos. That helped Chicago leap back into first place in the NFC North division race. Also, the Packers lost Micah Parsons for the season due to a torn ACL, which increases the Bears’ chances of winning the division by a lot.
Throughout the course of the game against the Browns, Williams played a great game. He completed 17 of his 28 pass attempts for 242 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions, while also chipping in with 13 rushing yards.
At 24 years old, Williams has shown major flashes of superstar potential. However, those flashes haven’t turned into consistency just yet. If they do, Chicago is going to be a Super Bowl contender for years to come.
After the dominant win over Cleveland, the Bears took to social media to bestow a new nickname upon Williams. In a post, they called him “Iceman.”

Every superstar in professional sports has some kind of nickname. Williams has a new one to go by. Whether or not it will stick remains to be seen, but it’s an epic nickname.
On the season, Williams has played in 14 games. He has thrown for 3,150 yards, 21 touchdowns, and six interceptions, while completing 58 percent of his passes and rushing for 334 yards and three more scores. There are many reasons to be ecstatic about the future in Chicago.
Now, a huge game has been set. The Bears are going to face off against the Packers at home on Saturday night. If Chicago can pull off a win in that game, the NFC North would be nearly locked up.
It will be interesting to see if the Bears can continue their dominant play from this week against Green Bay. Defeating the Packers would be a clear message sent to the rest of the NFL that Chicago is for real heading into the final two games of the season.
