Even with the Chicago Bulls sitting as the No. 9 seed entering a very important stretch this week, the franchise still has their eyes set on the playoffs this season. A new report on Monday suggested that the Bulls were going to try and players to help with a playoff run.
That’s a little surprising seeing that they really should try and rebuild with a loaded draft. Now, on Wednesday a new report states that the Bulls are keeping tabs on a forward in San Antonio.
Chicago Bulls interested in Jeremy Sochan?

Forward Jeremy Sochan has made it clear that he’s looking for a different opportunity and the Spurs are giving him that opportunity. Marc Stein reported on Tuesday that the Spurs are letting Sochan and his representatives seek trades to find a better fit.
“League sources say that Jeremy Sochan and his representation have received permission from the Spurs to explore the landscape for a potential new home via trade,” Stein wrote.
Now, a day later a few teams have emerged as suitors including the Bulls.
Per Evan Sidery, the Bulls are among the teams interested in the young forward via trade:
The Bulls, Hornets, Knicks, Lakers, and Suns are among the teams who have registered trade interest in Jeremy Sochan. The Spurs and Sochan’s representatives are actively working towards finding him a new team before the trade deadline.

The 22-year-old Sochan has some value due to his age as well as his experience. He was once thought to be a core piece for the Spurs but as the years have gone on the Spurs have added a lot of young talent and Sochan’s role has decreased.
In his first three seasons, Sochan started 149 games and averaged 27 minutes per game. But this season, has played in just 27 total games and is averaging 13 minutes per game. He’s averaging 4.2 points, 2.7 rebounds, and one assist per game this season.
If the Bulls are looking for a young piece to add to a potential rebuild, Sochan would appear to fill that need.
