The Chicago Bears spent the better part of three decades on the wrong end of their rivalry with the Green Bay Packers. However, with the arrival of Ben Johnson came a mental toughness and edge that, frankly, the Packers could not match in 2025. Chicago split the regular season series against Green Bay 1-1, but beat them 31-27 in an incredible comeback in the NFL Playoffs.
And so far this offseason, the Bears saw the Packers lose their defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley to the Miami Dolphins. Additionally, Green Bay is looking to Chicago’s staff (Al Harris) to fill the void that he left.
Furthermore, the most “controversial” thing that any Bears player as done this offseason was Caleb Williams attending a Chicago Blackhawks game right after the playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Meanwhile, the Packers have had one of their players arrested.
Chicago Bears rival Green Bay Packers left tackle Rasheed Walker arrested on gun charges

Per ESPN:
“Walker, 25, was taken into custody and charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm, according to the New York Post. He appeared in Queens County Criminal Court on the gun charge and was released later Friday.
“According to the Post, citing a criminal complaint, Walker told an airline employee that his bag contained a locked box holding a handgun. Port Authority Police, after being alerted by the employee, searched Walker’s bag and found a 9mm Glock pistol along with 36 rounds of ammo in the locked box.
“Walker’s attorney, Arthur Aidala, told the Post that the gun was legally licensed in Wisconsin and that Walker didn’t know he couldn’t travel with it in New York.”
Walker is slated to hit free agency this offseason and, even before this arrest, Green Bay was not expected to bring him back.
He performed especially poorly against the Bears in the NFL Playoffs, being flagged twice for holding. He also gave up six quarterback pressures and two hits on the quarterback.
