The Chicago Bears are ending the 2025 NFL regular season with a showdown against one of their NFC North division rivals, the Detroit Lions. At 8-8, the Lions are out of the NFL Playoffs picture while the 11-5 Bears have already won the division and can clinch the second seed in the NFC with a win.
In other words, Chicago has a lot to play for still in the final week of the season as the second seed would guarantee them homefield advantage throughout the playoffs except for possibly the NFC Championship.
And fortunately for the Bears, they have a rather healthy roster as the season comes to an end.
The Chicago Bears injury report for Week 18 vs the Detroit Lions

The Bears injury report lists the following players as out for their matchup against the Lions this upcoming Sunday:
- Joe Tryon-Shoyinka
Tryon-Shoyinka is currently in the NFL’s concussion protocol and has not yet been cleared to return to play. In fact, he did not practice at all this week, indicating that it could still be a while before he is able to come back.
Hopefully he is able to do so before the start of the NFL Playoffs.
Fortunately for the Bears, they only have four other players listed as questionable:
- Jaquan Brisker (illness)
- Nick McCloud (illness)
- Rome Odunze (foot)
- Ozzy Trapilo (knee/quad)
The most significant name and update here is that of Odunze, who was not able to practice at all on Wednesday nor Thursday, but did so in a limited fashion on Friday.
The Chicago Bears injury report includes players available to play
The following players were listed on the Bears injury report, but will be available on Sunday:
- Josh Blackwell (shoulder)
- Luther Burden III (quad)
- Jonah Jackson (illness)
- Olamide Zaccheaus (illness)
