The Chicago Bulls have been looking to figure out what they have on their roster for the future. With the team seemingly out of postseason contention, figuring out what they have and getting more ping-pong balls for the NBA Draft is the objective. However, they do still have some talent on their roster. Let’s take a closer look at who the team’s biggest X-factor is for the remaining three weeks of the season.
Bleacher Report considers Matas Buzelis as the Chicago Bulls X-factor

Bleacher Report’s Andy Bailey wrote an article where he discussed every team’s X-factor for the remaining few weeks of the regular season. For the Bulls, Bailey selected forward Matas Buzelis as that player for them. Below is what he wrote about Buzelis and the team.
“The Chicago Bulls probably won a little too much earlier in the season to meaningfully chase lottery odds now. That makes it harder to pick an X-factor who’d help them lose more games. So, for a team stuck in the league’s purgatory, we’ll focus on the only young talent on the roster who might be able to pull them out of it.
“Matas Buzelis may not look like a surefire star, but he’s only 21 and has shown more upside than anyone else on the roster. From here till the end of the season, Chicago should prioritize his playing time and scoring opportunities. Give him as many minutes as the alpha as possible. Tweak the offense and set plays to get him more looks. His experience should now lay the foundation for what he’ll be for years to come.”
Buzelis has been having an impactful season in his sophomore season. He has appeared in 67 games and is averaging 16.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.5 blocks, and 0.7 steals. He is also shooting well from beyond the arc at a 36.1% clip. Buzelis has shown the ability to be an impactful player and could be a piece the front office builds arounds this offseason.
It will be interesting to see how Buzelis plays towards the end of the season and if more people become aware of his talents.
