The Chicago Bulls walked into a hostile Ball Arena and still managed to emerge with a 130-127 win over the Denver Nuggets on Monday. The matchup stayed tight throughout, but Chicago stayed collected on the road and finished off an upset in one of the league’s toughest places to play.
The Bulls picked up just its second victory away from home to move to 7-6, while Denver dropped to 10-3 after taking its first home defeat of the season. The Nuggets fought back from a 13-point hole in the fourth quarter and briefly moved in front, 117-116, with a little more than two minutes left. Both teams traded scores before Kevin Huerter buried a three that pushed the Bulls ahead, 121-120, with 1:25 on the clock.

After the teams traded a few more buckets, Nikola Vucevic stepped up and knocked down a three with 32.8 seconds left, stretching Chicago’s lead to 126-124 and giving the Bulls the breathing room they needed. That moment served as the final blow, and Chicago finished the night on top.

The Bulls sank four clutch free throws in the final 11 seconds to close out the win and break the Nuggets’ seven-game surge.
Josh Giddey powered Chicago with 21 points and 14 rebounds, while Ayo Dosunmu matched his 21 points to keep the pressure on Denver. Kevin Huerter added 20 more, Jalen Smith supplied 16, Jevon Carter delivered 15, and Matas Buzelis chipped in 13.

The Bulls ended a five-game skid, rebounding from a grueling 150-147 double-overtime defeat to the Utah Jazz on Sunday.
Chicago had to withstand another massive outing from Nikola Jokic, who piled up 36 points, 18 rebounds, and 13 assists. He added 11 points in the fourth quarter alone as he tried to drag Denver back into the game.
Jokic got help from Jamal Murray, who scored 34 points, including five triples, pulled down 11 rebounds, and handed out four assists. Aaron Gordon contributed 24 points and collected 10 rebounds.
