The Chicago Bears have seen a lot of improvement this season, as they made savvy free agent signings to bolster the roster. One of the more underrated moves last offseason was Chicago signing center Drew Dalman to a multi-year contract to improve the offensive line. This move gave quarterback Caleb Williams protection and the Bears someone to build around the offensive line. One major outlet is giving him his flowers, so let’s take a look at who is giving Dalman some love right now.
Chicago Bears’ Drew Dalman was named one of the top free agent signings from last offseason

Pro Football Focus NFL Contributor Bradley Locker published an article ranking the top 20 free-agent signings from last offseason. Below is his snippet regarding the Bears’ signing of Dalman.
“The Bears have been one of the darlings of the NFL, and for good reason. Head coach Ben Johnson has guided a marvelous turnaround for NFC North-leading Chicago, and his revamped offensive personnel has been a catalyst. That includes Dalman in the middle. The ex-Falcon has played like one of the best centers in the league in his first year working with Caleb Williams. Dalman’s 78.4 overall PFF grade is sixth among qualified centers, and he’s one of four at the position with a 71.0-plus PFF pass- and run-blocking mark. Additionally, his 0.39 WAR is third among his counterparts. The Bears field the league’s fourth-highest-graded offensive line, and Dalman is an inextricable part of that.”
Dalman signed a three-year, $42 million contract with $28 million guaranteed last offseason. In addition to what was said, he has committed three penalties and allowed one sack in 1,033 offensive snaps played this season. He has showcased the ability to keep the offense going and protect the middle of the line. With his abilities at center, the Bears have looked like more of a juggernaut offensively. It will be intriguing to see if he can continue this type of production as the postseason gets closer.
