Chicago Bulls rookie Noa Essengue recorded his first double-double in the G League on Wednesday, leading the Windy City Bulls in scoring against the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Essengue produced 27 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals in the 129-122 loss at Now Arena. He shot 8-of-18 from the field, including 2-of-7 from 3-point range, in 31 minutes as Windy City dropped to 4-2 to begin the season.

These @chicagobulls rookies were UNSTOPPABLE! Lachlan Olbrich posted his first triple-double, while Noa Essengue put up his first double-double for the @windycitybulls.

The 12th pick in the draft scored 11 points alone in the fourth quarter to help the Bulls pull to within six points in the final minute. He showcased his overall skill set, from his several finishes in transition to his 3-point shooting early in the contest.

Essengue has made two brief appearances with Chicago, totaling six minutes in their last two outings this week. Bulls coach Billy Donovan has used a 9-10 man rotation for much of the early going, leaving Essengue and others out of the fold.

The French teenager played his third game with Windy City on Wednesday, averaging 25.7 points, eight rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals on 50% shooting from the field. He has scored at least 20 points in each appearance, including a 28-point debut on Nov. 11.

Donovan said previously that Essengue would likely spend extensive time with Windy City to log minutes against high-level competition. The team has set forth a detailed development plan for Essengue and is looking to maximize his rookie campaign on the court.
