Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham is giving fans a glimpse of life beyond the WNBA. The seven-year veteran averaged 7.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per game across her career, spending six seasons with the Phoenix Mercury before joining the Caitlin Clark-led Fever in 2025.
In her first season under coach Stephanie White, Cunningham posted 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game. Unfortunately, her campaign was cut short after she tore her right MCL, limiting her to just 30 games.
While she has plenty of basketball left in the tank, Cunningham has been busy exploring a new venture away from the hardwood.

WNBA: Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham adds pickleball to her growing list of hobbies
Cunningham has never been shy about her love for sports. This offseason, she picked up a new one. The Indiana Fever guard has joined the pickleball craze, embracing the fastest-growing sport in the country.
The 29-year-old wasted no time getting on the court. She shared the new interest on her Instagram Story from a pickleball court at Life Time at Penn 1 in New York City.
Ever the competitor, Cunningham even left a playful warning for those who would play her.
“When I retire, it’s over for you children,” she captioned the post.
Pickleball is not the only sport keeping Cunningham busy. The Missouri native recently organized the 1st Annual Sophie Cunningham Golf Classic, an inaugural charity tournament designed to support and recognize high school girls’ athletics.
On and off the court, she stays active and gives back.
Cunningham has plenty of game left. She figures to be a major contributor to a Fever team with serious title aspirations in the new season. With Caitlin Clark leading the charge and Cunningham providing the toughness and tenacity, Indiana looks poised to go even further in 2026.
